Mr. Thomas Willsey is a lifetime resident of Ross Township in Butler County and a Ross Township Trustee. Additionally, Mr. Willsey is a 28 year member of the Butler County Township Association and has served in all leadership positions. He is currently the State Association Executive Committee Representative. 

Well-acquainted with township governance, Mr. Willsey has been a member of the Ohio Township Association Board of Directors for over 15 years. He is currently the First Vice President and has previously served as the Conference Committee Chair. Mr. Willsey is a graduate of the Ohio Township Leadership Academy and has attended numerous seminars relevant to township concerns including planning, zoning, land use, dispute resolution, successful grant writing, and staffing.  

Prior to becoming a Ross Township Trustee, Mr. Willsey was elected and served on Millville Village Council for two, four-year terms. He is a retired member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Department with over 23 years of service, including six years as Assistant Chief and ten years as Captain. Mr. Willsey is a retired Charter Member of the Millville Life Squad serving six years as Assistant Chief and ten years as Captain.  

Mr. Willsey worked as an AK Steel employee for 38 years. He is a graduate of Ross High School and member and former President of the Ross Lion’s Club. Additional community contributions include former member of the Butler County Umpire Association, former baseball and girl’s softball coach for the Morgan-Ross Athletic Association, and former Assistant Football Coach for Ross Little Pro Football.  

Family life is central to Mr. Willsey, who has been married to his wife, Pam, for over 37 years. They have four children, Tom, Rick, David and Jaime, who is married to Rick Schirmer. Mr. Willsey enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren, Kosa, Savannah, Morgan and Addison.
