Mr. Michael Cochran

Mr. Cochran first joined the Ohio Township Association in 1977 and has served as Executive Director since 1980. He graduated from Otterbein College in 1966 and worked as a high school social studies teacher and coach while attending Capital University where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1971. Mr. Cochran was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1971.
Mr. Cochran served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in both Pickaway and Franklin Counties. He also served as Law Director of the City of Reynoldsburg from 1974 to 1979 and President of Reynoldsburg City Council from 1980 to 1983. Mr. Cochran has received the Columbus Meritorious Service Award. He is an ordained Anglican/Episcopal priest with Christ Church Anglican. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees for Otterbein College for nineteen years. He was a member of the Reynoldsburg City School Board of Education from 1986 to 1999. He currently serves on the Ohio State Board of Education.
In addition to his position with the Ohio Township Association, Mr. Cochran is a practicing attorney. Mr. Cochran resides in Jefferson Township with his wife, Gretchen. The couple have two daughters.
